Canterbury Crew is spending the next several weeks looking at issues of race, racial reconciliation and the proposed Mississippi Truth Project. We watched the documentary about the Greensboro Truth Commission on Oct. 26th. This is followed by attending the discussion with Gene Dattel about his new book: Race and Cotton in the Making of America (11/3), screening of other documentaries, including the events in Oxford when James Meredith was admitted, and Traces of the Trade (a northern family's recognition that they, too, had a part in slavery).
